Systems at AMBIO

The microscopy imaging systems at AMBIO were chosen to be highly complementary and cover many imaging modes.

All AMBIO systems are equipped for multiplexed 3D live-cell experiments:

  • Multi-color
  • Environmental control (temperature, humidity + CO2, carbogen)
  • Perfusion
  • Autofocus/ focus drift correction (PFS)
  • Fully motorized high precision stage for accurate repositioning (3D x/y/z control)

The AMBIO core facility offers state-of-the-art fluorescence microscopy systems ranging from low resolution to high resolution. The facility, at present, is composed of systems that are available for use to image a broad range of data types. These flexible systems enable users to image a wide variety of samples (i.e. tissue culture cells, tissue sections, small organs) over scales ranging from the mesoscale (> 1 mm) to the nanoscale (< 20 nm).
